A Visit to Sedona, Az.
(and Roy & Dale's,
and Bill's Calif. Museums)

In Decemeber 1997 an opportunity to visit Sedona, Arizona presented itself--I quickly mounted up and headed over to that beautiful area. The statue on the left is of the city's namesake.

Checked out the city and the surrounding countryside--including a couple of vortexes and "Montezuma's Castle", an ancient cliff dwelling.

On the way back was able to visit the Roy Rogers and Dale Evans Museum in Victorville, CA as well as the William S. Hart Museum in Newhall, CA. Neither Roy nor Dale were present at the time (I was told that Roy often greeted folks while riding "Trigger III"--an electronic cart), but it was a fascinating trip through their great movie and television careers. I also feel fortunate to have visited the museum while "The King of the Cowboys" was still amongst us. Of course, he will always be with us in spirit.

Silent screen star Willian S. Hart willed his home and ranch to the county of Los Angeles when he died in 1946. Considered by many as one of the finest western stars, he insisted upon a very accurate portrayal of the Old West.

Needless to say, I had a great time!
