The Shadows of the Past once again entertained the many visiters to Roaring Camp Railroad in Felton, California. As one of the robbers, I was able to ham it up a bit while dying in the dust several times. Under the leadership of Black Bart, the Shadows group has been staging the train robberies since the mid eighties.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of portraying an Old West cowboy is the chance to meet young pards who are impressed by your gear and bearing. I gave one little fellow some of my "money" and was pleasantly surprised when he later came up to me and gave me a lucky penny. It was a special moment!
