The First Western: Cripple Creek Bar-room (1899)

As mentioned on the First Movies page, this western vignette was filmed in the world's first movie studio, Edison's "Black Maria." The story is a simple one: the already "likker'd up" man holding the bottle comes into the bar-room and causes a ruckus after having one more drink. The other customers help to remove him from the building and are rewarded with a drink on the house.
