Buck Benny's Celebration of the West

After listening to the song "My Kind of Country," Jack "Buck" Benny, with a tear in his eye, says this with great feeling:

Yes, folks, this is my kind of country. A way out west--right here. Here with the deer and the antelope. And the antelope...and the deer. There's a bird singin' outside the bunkhouse...singin' a mighty pretty song. In these here parts, when when a man rides fast...shoots straight...and lives...and lives clean and long. WHY your poor city dweller...you miserable feller...with subway trains din in your ear--feel the call of the west and the deer...and the antelope...and the antelope...and the deer!... There's a bird singing outside of the bunkhouse ...when the western stars peep through...Ah, you city slicker, bent over that ticker...SHAME oh SHAME on you! You can keep your skyscrapers, your pencils and papers, if that's what you want, ya dopes! But I'll take the plains, the red blood in my veins, and the deer...and the antelope!...There's a bird singin' outside the bunkhouse--the sweetest I've ever heard. So you can have your tinsel and glitter--as for me, just give me the bird!....
