Big Valley Days in Pollardville

During August 2001 The Spirits of the Old West once again hosted the
"Big Valley Days" event in Pollardville (Stockton, Ca.). Several Old West groups as well as numerous visitors enjoyed the fine weather and hospitality
of the famous "ghost town" that boasts real old-time structures as well as
The Big Country (1958) movie buildings. Mr. Rudy Peden, Pollardville's manager, helped to make everyone feel welcome. I especially enjoyed
speaking with Chief Silver Arrow after he posed with his horse.

Although the event wasn't a competition this year, it did offer the groups a chance to perform for the public. At the end of the day, The Spirits of the Old West presented awards of appreciation to the performing groups.
